Development of the user perspective. The meaning of active participation and the consequences of the absence of users in the processes of research, information collection and procedures management. User research as the guarantee of their empowerment. Principles of team work. User training. Reciprocal learning: expert, researchers and user co-operation. International experience in user research. Strategies of user inclusion in decision-making processes. Principles of emancipatory research (the viewpoint of indigenous people, emic-etic, the »bottom-up« perspective, understanding and knowing the user position, reflexivity, a critical attitude).
