We are inviting colleagues from abroad to send abstracts for papers, workshop or discussion groups on the following themes:

1.    Challenges to the concept of citizenship for social work:
a.    Social work between reducing social inequality and ensuring equality
b.    Empowerment – from marginalisation to full participation in the community
c.    Place of social work in the revolt against injustices and as a movement for social change

2.    Creating community:
a.    Solidarity and belonging to a community
b.    Ethics of active involvement in community social work
c.    Autonomy and organisation of the community

3.    Social work, welfare state and survival strategies:
a.    Social work and the politics of austerity
b.    Can social work be neutral?
c.    Micro and macro survival strategies and political agendas
d.    Reorganisation – new public management (in social protection, mental health, long-term care, etc.) – between modernisation and humanity
