The higher Education Enrolment Procedure
In accordance with Call for enrolment into second cycle master study programmes of the University of Ljubljana in the academic year 2024/25, the Faculty of social work offers following programmes in the academic year 2024/25:
- Social Work - full-time
- Social Work with Families- part-time
- Diversity studies: social inclusion and justice in the field of handicap, ethnicity and gender - part-time
Part-time study carries one-third of the full-time load.
A programme will start if at least 15 students are enrolled.
- Also available is the Supplementary Programme (for graduates from three-year Bachelor programmes)

Application Deadlines
1st deadline:
Application deadlines for Slovene citizens and citizens of the Member States of the European Union:
- Candidates submit their application for enrolment with an electronic form at the eVŠ online portal portal.evs.gov.si/prijava no later than 17 June 2024.
- Candidates submit Supplemental documents no later than 11 September 2024.
Application deadlines for foreign citizens from countries that are not member States of the European Union and Slovenians without Slovenian citizenship:
- Candidates submit their application for enrolment with an electronic form at the eVŠ online portal portal.evs.gov.si/prijava no later than 31 May 2024.
- Candidates submit Supplemental documents no later than 30 June 2024.
2nd deadline:
The second deadline will be issued from 28 August 2024 to 4 September 2024 (only for citizens of the Republic of Slovenia and citizens of EU Member States), if places remain are available in the programme after the first deadline closes and the programme has reached the minimum quota for implementation.
Application for Enrolment
Candidates are requested to submit applications for enrolment in the electronic application. (see How to fill in an application for 2nd and 3rd cycle study programmes- Information in English - EVŠ - Spletni portal (gov.si)).

Candidates applying with foreign qualifications apply for recognition of foreign access qualifications with the same application form.

Supplemental documents are:
Degree cerrticate
Scan or photograph of a certificate issued in the Republic of Slovenia (if the degree certificate has not be en awarded yet, the candidate is required to submit a copy of the confirmation of the degree letter). Not necessary for candidates who continue their studies at the same higher education institution where they finished their preliminary education.
Diploma supplement
Scan or photograph of the evidence on the contents and duration of education and the requirements fulfilled during the studies; diploma supplement, annual report cards, transcripts or others. Not necessary for candidates who continue their studies at the same higher education institution where they finished their preliminary education.
Certificate of meeting enrolment requirements
Scan or photograph of Certificate of completion of differential exams (completed first-cycle study programme involving 240 credits or 4-year professional higher education programme in another professional field as social work or Certificate of completion of Supplementary programme (completed three-year revised first-cycle study programme involving acquisition of 180 credits or 3-year professional higher education programme). Candidates, who have (partial) recognition (differential exams or Supplementary programme) submit a scan or photograph of the decision of recognition issued by the Student Affairs Committee of the Faculty of social work.
Candidates, who have completed all the obligations (differential exams or Supplementary programme) and have obligations registered in electronic index, do not need to submit the certificate.
Documents for official recognition of education
A candidate who has finished his or her studies in a foreign country (not Slovenia) and would like to continue education in the Slovenian higher education institution is obliged to acquire a decision on the recognition of the foreign education, if they have not obtained one already. Higher education institutions are the competent bodies for the education recognition procedure.
The recognition procedure is a part of the enrolment procedure.The candidates submit the recognition application together with the study enrolment application (on the online eVŠ portal).

Certificate(s)
Scan or photograph of the original certificate(s) or the duplicate of the final certifica te(s), representing general requirement for access to higher education.
Translation of the certificate(s)
Slovene or English translation of the certificate(s), representing general requi rement for access to higher education. Please check at the contact for recognition if this document is required.
Evidence on the contents and duration of education
Scan or photographs of annual report cards, transcripts, a diploma supplement or some other evidence on the contents and duration of education.
Short chronological description of the entire education
Short chronological description of the entire education (statement by the applicant)
Identity document of the candidate based on the wiritten consent
- Candidates who are not citizens of the Republic of Slovenia and are citizens of an EU Member State enclose an identity card or passport (page with personal data of the candidate, which should show the name, surname, date and place of birth and citizenship);
- Citizens from a non-EU country enclose a passport (page with t he personal data of the candidate, showing the name, surname, date and place of birth and citizenship).
By enclosing this document, you agree that the higher ed ucation institution can use it for the purpose of enrolment procedures and must delete it after the completion of these procedures. Only the necessary identific ation data should be visible on the sent document. Hide the data that are not re quired for identification (eg ID, signature, and photograph) with a photo proces sing program (eg Painter, Power Point, any other program or application on your smartphone) and make scan with a watermark that clearly states that it is a copy and for what purpose it is used.
Enrolment Deadline
Enrolment will be concluded no later than 30 September 2024.
Tuition fees
The tuition fees are charged to part-time students, the students, already having the same level of education completed and to students of the third countries, with which there is no agreement concluded between the countries, on omitting the fees.
