Fakulteta za socialno delo invites you to participate in the lectures / seminar / workshop on ethical practice in social work that will be delivered by one of the most important professors in this field in the USA.

Ethical dilemmas are one of the characteristics of social work practice, nevertheless the opportunities to talk about them in a safe and reflective environment are not very common. The seminar will provide opportunities to think about sources of ethical dilemmas and ways how to address them. Special attention will be given to the topic of boundaries in professional work and conflicts of interests that arise from them. We will discuss how to set appropriate and culturally sensitive boundaries in cases when such conflicts are unavoidable. The last part of the seminar will be dedicated to the third dimension, next to recognizing dilemmas and seeking solutions: how to realize good decisions in practice, how to act ethically? Attention will given to moral courage and seeking resources to do what ethically needs to be done.
