Summary:

Maintaining an active and healthy elderly population is of utmost importance to society and is for the benefit of all people. The silver economy is a fast-growing market to which a large part of the global market for user-friendly products and services will shift, bringing new opportunities for an innovative economy. Early diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases makes it possible to introduce early treatment of the disease and prolong the period of independence of the individual.

The project includes an interdisciplinary approach to the analysis of good HR practices at home and abroad in the management of older employees in the work environment. The purpose of the project is to encourage one's own care for healthy and active ageing and organisational measures that promote active and healthy ageing. With the help of interdisciplinary knowledge (social work, economics and medicine), the participants will encourage both management in the work environment (creating an appropriate working environment and organizational climate), as well as older employees to take responsibility for an appropriate working environment and adjustments, as well as to take care of their own health. By participating in the project, students will gain experience in the working environment during their studies. In addition to that, the project strengthens the transfer of knowledge between different stakeholders –  the faculties and the work mentor (in the fields of social work, economics and medicine) and the transfer of knowledge between the school and the working environment. The results and content of the project will be publicly presented, with the aim of encouraging other working environments to take an active approach to the management of older employees.
