Subject content:
- Basic conceptual and theoretical knowledge of drug policy (basic discourses, drugs as a social, societal, health and political phenomenon).
- Different types of drug policy.
- History of the occurrence of drugs in the Western socio-cultural context and the occurrence of drugs in other civilizations.
- Implementation of human rights.
- Models of drug policy (war on drugs, emergence of prohibitionism, public health model, classical liberal model).
- EU drug policy.
- Demand reduction policy and practice (prevention in school settings, harm reduction, prisons, treatment, the concept of recovery).
- The political economy of drugs (drug supply reduction) and the economics of stigmatization.
