The course is taught as part of the optional module Psychosocial support and help.

  • Renew knowledge of the map of group social work (values, ethics, definition, types of groups, advantages and disadvantages of group work, brief historical overview of group work and influential theories).
  • Group dynamics (definition, 4 dimensions, development phases).
  • Leadership (traditional and contingent/situational and transformative theories) and co-leadership.
  • Use of expressive creative means in the context of psychosocial support and help(definition, history of development, research, practitioner competences).             
  • Approaches, models, methods, skills in the use of expressive creative medea (movement-dance, sound-music, drama and psychodrama, play, storytelling, poetry, art, photography, video, creative writing) in working with the individual, the group and the community.
  • Organisation of a group/workshop with expressive creative media in the context of psychosocial support and help.
