Knowledge and understanding the functions and purpose of social security law and its influence on the individual's living conditions. Knowledge and understanding of the basic concepts of social security, individual rights and duties arising from the social security system in Slovenia, and instruments for their effective implementation and for safeguarding them.

  • knowledge and ability to use the contributions of the fields of relevance for social work (sociology, psychology, anthropology, pedagogy, different legal fields etc.);
  • understanding the work of institutions and the improvement of institutional practices in specific fields of social work; and
  • the ability to maintain and advocate the professional autonomy of social work in dialogue with different actors, institutions and the public.

Skills and knowledge enabling access to important sources and means, and the use of networks in particular social work fields.
